The Ravel Hotel - Long Island City, NY
The Ravel Hotel is an amazing venue bringing a modern luxury vibe in New York’s Long Island City. Perivoli at the Penthouse is where this wedding took place. A 9,500 square-foot indoor/outdoor rooftop restaurant and lounge area, which offered breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and Queensboro bridge.
"It's us, and I love you"
Shakira and Christian were set up by a mutual friend and bridesmaid, Cherri back in 2014. Shakira was still in law school and although they couldn’t meet in person, they spent hours and days talking with each other. Once Shakira’s finals were over, they finally met and had their first date at a nice Indian restaurant in Long Island. The rest is history. This love story was fate at it’s finest. Becoming friends was Shakira’s and Christian’s choice, but falling in love with each other was beyond their control.
